During this time, he was also mentored by his late father, Dr Ong Yong Khee. He finally took over the reins of the clinic in 2008.

Since then, Dr Ong has gained a special interest in the treatment of:

  1. Dermatology conditions

Dr Ong also has a keen interest in educating medical students who wish to know more about Family Medicine and Primary Healthcare.

Outside the clinic, Dr Ong has also gone on multiple Medical Mission trips to Thailand, Cambodia, Timor-Leste and Indonesia, setting up Mobile Clinics in remote regions with limited access to medical care. Besides seeing patients, he also strives to educate them on health and hygiene awareness.

Our Clinic’s History

Dr Ong Yong Khee, Daniel 王荣基

MBBS (University of Malaya)

Ong’s Clinic was set up by Dr Ong Yong Khee on the 14th of July 1961 at 129 Albert Street (later reassigned as Block 13 Short Street, #01-129, Albert House). This was very near the defunct Middle Road Hospital where he first began practicing in 1956. Middle Road Hospital was also the precursor to the National Skin Centre. Because of this, Dr Ong had a special interest in treating skin conditions. Other than that, he was also well known for treating respiratory conditions such as asthma and acute upper respiratory tract infections.

Our clinic has a long standing history and rapport with the residents and families staying at Rochor, Selegie, Queen Street and Waterloo Street. We also see many students from NAFA, Laselle School of the Arts, SOTA and SMU. We are also pleased to see the visitors from other countries who stay at the nearby hotels.

The clinic is now operated by his son, Dr Fabian Ong, who continues Dr Ong’s work and medical skills that was passed on to him.
